SETTING POLICY AND STRATEGIC DIRECTION.

The Philadelphia Workforce Investment Board is governed by a distinguished Board of individuals who join us from the private sector, education, economic development, organized labor, community groups, and public arenas. Volunteer Board members are appointed by the mayor and are responsible for setting policy and strategic direction for Philadelphia's public workforce system to align the skills of the workforce to meet the needs of industry.
